Figures are the values declared by the mill under the named method. They describe cloth under a laboratory test, not a garment on a job. 500 g/m², not abrasion tested, no added layers.
This piece is a single layer throughout. Nothing on it is doubled or bartacked beyond the ordinary construction seams.
A reinforced point carries a second layer or a denser stitch. It moves the wear from one layer to two; it does not make the area exempt from wear. Where you work hardest is still where the garment will change first.
Knitted from virgin wool, which under EU 1007/2011 means fibre that has not previously been made up or used.
At 500 g/m² this is the heaviest knit in the line. It will pill at the underarm and the cuff, which is normal for a wool of this construction; the grade is published above.
Saddle shoulder, ribbed cuff and hem.
Flat measurements in centimetres, tolerance ±1 cm, taken after washing. Wool relaxes about 1 cm through the body in the first weeks and recovers on washing.
