Figures are the values declared by the mill under the named method. They describe cloth under a laboratory test, not a garment on a job. 400 g/m², 40,000 cycles, 3 reinforced areas.
A reinforced point carries a second layer or a denser stitch. It moves the wear from one layer to two; it does not make the area exempt from wear. Where you work hardest is still where the garment will change first.
A 400 g/m² canvas, 60 g/m² above the standard chore. The extra mass is in the warp, which is where the abrasion figure comes from.
Cuffs are faced, so the fold that rubs against a bench edge has two layers under it.
Expect four to six weeks of regular wear before the sleeves move freely. This is a property of the cloth weight, not a fault.
Nickel release from parts in prolonged skin contact is within the REACH limit of 0.5 µg/cm² per week.
Flat measurements in centimetres, tolerance ±1 cm, taken after washing.
