A reinforced point carries a second layer or a denser stitch. It moves the wear from one layer to two; it does not make the area exempt from wear. Where you work hardest is still where the garment will change first.

in detail

Moleskin is a densely woven cotton with a raised, brushed face. The hand is soft from the first day; the density is in the ground weave underneath.

The brushed face will flatten at the elbows and cuffs with wear. The colour goes slightly lighter where it flattens.

Elbows carry a second layer, stitched through the brushed face.
